This information is only for customers who previously paid for their email service.
How much will it cost to renew?
- If your paid email renewal is due before 15 September 2024:
- You will be offered a first-time annual renewal rate provided payment is received by the due date. Details will be emailed to you 30 days before.
- If your paid email renewal is due on or after 15 September 2024:
- New pricing will apply and you will be able to choose to pay either monthly or yearly.
- Unfortunately, our system will not currently allow us to group/align different email accounts and renewal dates, and each email account will be billed separately.

Have you sent me a payment request?
- If the sender was noreply@themessaging.co, it is legitimate. If not, it is spam.

How can I pay?

Option 1:
- Please add your payment method in our new My Account in webmail. My Account is within the app selector menu. Select the app selector (top left of screen) in webmail, then select My Account.
- My Account will allow you to check your payment method has been added, add a backup payment method, and replace a primary payment method.
- Your payment will only be charged on your payment due date.

- Alternatively, you can add your payment method by selecting "Add payment method" at the bottom of our website (see explainer here).
- A backup payment method is optional and not required.
- To check your payment method was added, follow the Add payment method process and click on "Payment methods" to see if your payment method was stored.
- To update your payment method, see Add a backup or replacement payment method.
- Your payment will only be charged on your payment due date.
- You will not be able to see or choose a new email pricing plan for your 2025 renewal until after your 2024 first-time renewal plan has been charged.

- Your payment method will be charged immediately.
- If you pay yearly, the amount will be charged immediately.
- If you pay monthly, the first month's amount will be charged immediately.
- My Account will allow you to check your payment method has been added, add a backup payment method, and replace a primary payment method.

If your payment is due on or after 15 September 2024:
- We will not ask you to pay via an emailed link (unless you request an emailed link).
- For privacy and security reasons, we did not receive your payment details from your previous email provider.
What payment methods do you accept?
- We accept credit/debit card (including some prepaid debit cards), direct debit, and PayPal.
- We do not currently accept BPAY, cheques, direct bank transfers, or payment details via email or phone.
Can you send me a PDF invoice?
- Our payment system will only send a formal tax invoice (PDF) upon successful payment, marked as "paid". If a payment is not made by your payment due date, our payment system will send the same formal tax invoice (PDF), but marked as "unpaid".
What will appear on my bank statement?
- After a credit/debit card payment is charged, the company name on your credit card statement should be "The Messaging Company - email account" or "TMC* THE MESSAGING COM".
- After a direct debit payment is charged, the company name on your bank statement should be "The Messaging Company Pty Ltd".
- After a PayPal payment is charged, the company name on your PayPal statement should be, "PAYPAL *THE MESSAGING C".
Is my renewal date the same as my email transfer/migration date?
- Renewal dates do not usually align with transfer/migration dates.
- Usually, your previous renewal date applies (so you can keep your previous billing cycle).

Will you keep my payment details on file for the future?
- Yes, this will enable your email account subscription to renew automatically.
- You will also receive 30 days' notice of future renewals.
- For future renewals, new pricing will apply.
- The security of your information is important to us, so we use a PCI-DSS Level 1 service provider certified as compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v4.0.
- After your payment has been successfully processed, you are welcome to email support@themessaging.co (from your email account registered with us) to request we delete your primary payment method from our system. Please be warned this may risk an interruption to your email service if your account has no payment method at its next renewal. We will aim to action your request within 5 business days.
What will happen to my email account if I do not pay by the due date?
- If you do not pay by the due date, your email account may be temporarily suspended until payment is made. (As of 9 July 2024, we have not started suspending email accounts due to non-payment, but we will start soon.)
- If you do not pay within 90 days of your payment due date, your email account will be permanently deleted.
How can I cancel my subscription and delete my email account?
- Please see Cancel my email account.
- Deleting your email account is permanent. Once it has been deleted, it cannot be recovered.
- Your email account subscription is paid upfront and is not refundable.
- If your email account has transferred/migrated to us, you can continue using your email account until the end of your current paid term.
Why isn't it free until 15 September 2024?
- As per the original information from your previous provider:
- "If you currently have an email address included with your iiNet/TPG/Westnet/Internode services: you won’t need to pay anything to use your iiNet/TPG/Westnet/Internode email address with The Messaging Company until 15 September 2024.
- At least 60 days prior to 15 September 2024, The Messaging Company will contact customers with pricing options that will apply if you wish to continue using your iiNet/TPG/Westnet/Internode email address with The Messaging Company.
- If you currently pay for an iiNet/TPG/Westnet/Internode email address: The Messaging Company will contact you with pricing options that will apply if you wish to continue using your iiNet/TPG/Westnet/Internode email address with The Messaging Company."
