How to request transfer of account ownership
- Please email support@themessaging.co
- Ensure all the documentation stated below is included
- Failing to provide the required documents as outlined may result in delays processing or accepting your request.
- Requests to transfer account ownership will be considered at our discretion.
Please submit copies of the following documents:
- Statutory declaration from the current account holder, and
- Certified copy of identification (e.g. drivers licence, passport or other suitable identification)
- If using myGov to submit the declaration, a certified copy of identification is not required.
The declaration should include:
- The current account holder's full name, email address, date of birth, and phone number registered with the account.
- A statement requesting the service is to be transferred to the proposed account holder and the reason for this request.
- The proposed new account holder details:
- Full name
- Address
- Mobile phone number
- Confirmation that you have:
- Obtained authorisation from the proposed account holder to transfer the stated services into their name, and
- that the proposed account holder has agreed to the Terms of service provided by the The Messaging Company as published on our website: https://themessaging.co/terms/
Statutory declaration
- There are multiple options to create a statutory declaration, for faster processing we recommend using myGov.
Other statutory declarations forms will be accepted, however they require additional information, see Certified copy of identification above, and will require additional time for our team to review and process.
